Frank Pompilio to compete in PMRA Pro Modified Series for 2010
Team of popular twin-turbo Mustang stepping up effort for upcoming season
MAPLE, ONTARIO (January 29, 2010) – Ford fans are going to have something to cheer about when Frank Pompilio takes to the track for the upcoming Pro Modified Racing Association tour.
Campaigning a 1967 Ford Mustang, Pompilio has raced in the Outlaw 10.5 class with his immaculate silver Mustang, and for 2010, the team has decided to compete in the PMRA Pro Modified arena.
“The PMRA is a great show,” said Pompilio, who drives the twin-turbo-charged powered Mustang. “It has lots to offer.”
The Pompilio Mustang, owned by team patriarch and Frank’s father Ernie, also has lots to offer. The car has no problem getting down the quarter-mile in six seconds, even with the narrow 10.5-inch rear slicks.

Cynergy Composites develops ultra light 1969 Camaro Pro Modified body
G-Force Race Cars will use new body for new car for PMRA’s Jay Santos
STRATHROY, ONTARIO (January 26, 2010) – One of the main theories in winning a drag race is power. The more power a car makes, the quicker it can get down to the finish line.
But since the advent of the sport, racers have also tried to reduce weight in their cars. The lighter a car is, the faster it will go.
Over the past few years, reducing the weight of the car body in racing has been an important element in producing quicker times. Working through light metal and fiberglass from the past, today’s builders of Pro Modified and Top Sportsman bodies work with the strong yet light carbon fiber.
Just before Christmas of 2009, Cynergy Composites put the finishing touches on its newest body, a 1969 Chevy Camaro, and shipped it off to noted Pro Modified builder Jim Salemi at G-Force Race Cars of Western New York.

“This will open more doors for us. We did all we could with the Altered.”

Father Wayne Martin started racing in the mid-1960s, and Tim’s son Chase will be a regular in the Junior Dragster wars.
