Stawicki goes ‘outlaw’

Mike Stawicki has been a part of legal Pro Mod racing since the late 1980’s, as he and partner Jim Salemi (owner of G-Force Race Cars), have had many hot rods that have been flogging the east coast over the last 20 years. Next year, though, the New York racers will be turning Outlaw.

“This will be a new and exciting year,” Stawicki said. “We plan to do battle on the ADRL and PMRA circuits. We will be making the necessary changes to compete at the Outlaw level both with our power program and putting our car on a series diet. I also plan to be dynoing our new combo shortly after the New Year. We will be spending some time on DMPE’s inertia wheel, seeing if we can spin it faster than before.”

The car will be back in the G-Force Race Cars shop in mid January to have a new Cynergy Composites Ultra Light body installed as well as various other trick stuff. Crew Chief Jim Salemi says, “I would really like to build a purpose built Outlaw car, but time and funding are just not on our side right now. I feel that G-Force has some revolutionary ideas in this field but they will have to wait or be applied in a customer’s car. Regardless, I feel we will be strong contenders once we get some testing laps under our belt. I’m looking forward to this venture.”

Stawicki Racing would like to thank the following companies and people for their continued support: G-Force Race Cars Inc. Darren Mayer & DMPE Inc, Stawicki Used Cars, Refreshment Supply, Strange Engineering, Mickey Thompson Wheels and Tires, NGK Spark Plugs, Mastin Engineering, Hot Rods by Burke, Cynergy Composites, Scott Jahren Paint, and 1320 Web Services.
