Big week for the Smokin’ Joe’s Racing team

In addition to returning to the Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario this coming weekend for the rescheduled Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals Joe Boniferro and the Smokin’ Joe’s Racing team go into public relations mode on Thursday August 13. Their Vegas Fuel Canada Dodge Avenger will take pride of place at the Grand Opening of the new Fastek facility in St. Catharines, Ontario. Fastek has been in the tools and fastener business for over ten years and are celebrating the opening of their new facility with lots of free food and door prizes for their visitors. Boniferro elaborated, “Interacting with the public is a big part of what our raceteam does and the Fastek Grand Opening is a great opportunity for us to showcase what Pro Modified racing and the PMRA series is all about. Luckily the car is race ready as we did not get to race last weekend due to the bad weather. After the Fastek show we head out for Grand Bend again. The deal Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts has put together with free tickets for the event is an amazing deal for the fans. We had people from Niagara Falls who had never seen me race come to the Bend last week and they are ready to come back this weekend. We also  talked to people newly arrived from the UK who had come to their first ever drag race, they also said they would be back. It is going to be a busy week but with the recent changes we have made to the Vegas Fuel Avenger we are looking forward to a good weekend.”

General parking is $20 per car load and weekend camping is available.
