"Drag racing is far out!"

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (September 20, 2009) - The Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA) and Quick 32 Sportsman Series teams made some new friends at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario on the weekend.

Several individuals 092009from Community Living Haldimand had an opportunity to see, hear, and experience the exciting and colorful drag racing series and get up close and personal with drivers Eric Latino, Bruce Boland and Melanie Simmons as guests of the series.

Community Living Haldimand is a non-profit organization that provides support and special needs to over 100 individuals with an intellectual disability and their families in Haldimand County for over 50 years.

John Anderson, Trevor Cole, Adam Gosden and Mike McGovern had an opportunity to meet many of the teams and spend time experiencing the event from the VIP Suite in the tower.

Eric Latino gave Trevor Cole and Mike McGovern team uniform shirts that the drivers autographed, which has created a dilema at Community Living Haldimand. It seems they are trying to get the shirts off them long enough to have them washed.

092009The quote of the day came from Trevor Cole, when he asked, "What do I have to do to drive one of these things?"

Cars in the series are capable of low six-second times at over 200 miles per hour in the quarter-mile.
