The Pro Modified Top Five for 2011 The Pro Modified Team of Eric Latino and the Team Green Camaro – Number Three
WHITBY, ONTARIO (November 4, 2011) – A new car and a new partner gave Eric Latino a fast and winning combination, placing the Whitby, Ontario driver third in the Pro Modified Racing Association Marydel Homes Championship Point Award Series presented by Magnum Auto Parts, Patio Passport and Global Emissions Systems Inc. this year.
Trading in his 1938 Chevy coupe for a new G-Force Race Cars 1969 Camaro, Latino qualified number one at three of the PMRA meets, and second in two other events in 2011. He was only eight points behind PMRA champion Vito Montesano of Maple, Ontario when the season ended at the Cayuga Dragway in September.
Driving the Team Green Camaro, Latino consistently put down laps in the sub six-second range after he teamed up with prominent Pro Modified car owner Rob Sporring.

GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (August 24, 2011) – Eric Latino will be going for his second win this season in Pro Modified Racing Association competition as a finalist in the postponed fourth round of PMRA racing.
But Latino, of Whitby, Ontario, will be facing Jeff Roth of New Dundee, Ontario in the rescheduled final, which was cancelled due to rain at the recent Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals held August 4-7 at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
The final pairing will determine the winner of this fourth race on the six-race PMRA tour for 2011. It will be held during the September 2-4 running of the “Thunder by the Beach” event at Grand Bend. After this race is completed, the PMRA will continue with its next round of drag racing action over the Labor Day weekend.
Points leader Vito Montesano ready for a win in PMRA drag racing

MAPLE, ONTARIO (August 3, 2011) – Pro Modified Racing Association driver Vito Montesano is hoping he can put it all together for the next PMRA race at the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts August 4-7 at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
Montesano presently leads the PMRA Championship Point Award Series presented by Magnum Auto Parts and Patio Passport with 817 points. He has qualified number one at all events so far this year with his supercharged ERD-powered 1969 Camaro Pro Modified, and has set a fast time of 5.889-seconds down the quarter mile.
“What’s my plan for this weekend? It’s to stay at the top,” he said. “I’d like to set a big number and keep it.”
Jack Grainy blasts to victory during IHRA Mopar Nitro Jam Nationals
PMRA team wins Pro Modified Invitational during national drag race event at the Grand Bend Motorplex
GRAND BEND, ON (July 18, 2011) – Jack Grainy blasted his way to victory during the IHRA Mopar Nitro Jam Nationals at the Grand Bend Motorplex over the weekend.
The Pro Modified Racing Association regular competed with several other teams in the event’s Pro Modified Invitational, and the Tonawanda, New York driver won an IHRA Iron Man for his efforts, his second such title in 16 years.
“This has been a great win for us,” said Grainy after the win. “We are very happy to win, and we were proud to be a part of the PMRA at this race.
“Our next goal,” he continued, “is to win a PMRA race, hopefully this season.”
A veteran Pro Modified team, driver Jack and crew chief Sonny have competed for many years, and was one of the initial teams when the PMRA began in 2004.
Second round in PMRA drag racing goes to Eric Latino
Camaro driver bests tough Pro Modified field at Toronto Motorsports Park during Cayuga Dragway’s Xtreme Mayhem Nationals
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (June 17, 2011) – The competition was strong, but at the end of the day Eric Latino won the Pro Modified Racing Association race at the Xtreme Mayhem Nationals at TMP’s Cayuga Dragway.
With his new G-Force Race Cars 1969 Camaro Pro Modified, Latino, from Whitby, Ontario, held off Vito Montesano in the final round to take the win with a 6.758-second, 232.95 mph run against Montesano’s 6.630-second, 157.76 mph.
Montesano, of Maple, Ontario was the driver to beat all weekend as he qualified his 1969 Camaro Pro Modified in number one spot with a 5.889-second run. Latino qualified number two in the field with a 5.898-second, 243.72 mph posting. Both teams ran five-second passes consistently over the weekend.
