Mandate:
The Working Group on the National Pesticide
Sales Database is a working group of the Federal/Provincial/Territorial
Committee on Pest Management and Pesticides (F/P/T).
Goal:
To determine cost effective inputs and outputs
for the National Pesticide Sales Data Base, taking into consideration issues
and needs of provinces, territories and stakeholders.
Objectives:
- Determination of the data required for the data base
(litres or kilograms of sales, PCP#, for all pesticide products for each
province/territory)
- Determination of data base outputs including
consideration of the protection of confidential business information.
- Determination of the methods and procedures for the
collection of data from registrants.
- Determination of how frequently and when the data should
be provided, deadlines for receipt of data.
