Bruce Boland returning for 2012 season
Three-time PMRA champion boasts impressive Pro Modified career in 1941 Willys
HAMILTON, ONTARIO (March 21, 2026) – The most successful driver in the Pro Modified Racing Association is returning to competition for 2012, but it may be the last season of active racing for Bruce Boland.
“This is definitely my last year,” said Boland, a three-time PMRA champion. “I made my wife a promise and I think it is time to look towards the future.”
The driver of the B&B Racing 1941 Willys has had a stellar record in the PMRA. Since his first win in the fall of 2005, Boland tops the winner’s circle list with nine victories in 37 races. He has raced several different cars over the years, and came within one point of winning his fourth title in 2011.
Roth Racing returns to PMRA for 2012 season with 1941 Willys
Team worked off-season in obtaining more success in getting power to the track
KITCHENER, ONTARIO (March 14, 2026) – No major changes are planned for the Roth Racing Willys Pro Modified as the team enters their sixth season of Pro Modified Racing Association competition.
“We’re not going to be doing a whole lot to the car,” said team owner Jim Roth. “Certainly nothing wild and crazy.”
With son Jeff Roth behind the wheel of the 1941 Willys, the team placed fourth in PMRA Championship Point Award Series in 2011. They qualified for all six PMRA events, and the year was highlighted with a final-round showing during the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts at Grand Bend. Although losing to Eric Latino in this final, Roth motored by both PMRA champion Vito Montesano and Kenny Lang to meet up with Latino.
