Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals next stop for drag race series
PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS once again to take part in popular race weekend at Grand Bend Motorplex
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (July 30, 2026) – The annual and popular Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts returns to the Grand Bend Motorplex August 9-11 and once again, the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series will take part in this event.
Racing gets underway Friday August 9 with round one of qualifying for the PMRA, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the PBSS presented by Wiseco Performance Products, but the weekend starts Thursday, August 8 with a Fan Fest Party hosted by Boston Pizza in Stratford.
After the Friday qualifying session scheduled for 7 pm, live entertainment will be presented by Ideal Supply in the NAPA tent.
Eric Latino wins his first PMRA race of 2013 at Grand Bend
Reigning champ takes Ironman during the IHRA Nitro Jam Nationals
GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (July 21, 2026) – Reigning series champion Eric Latino won his first race of the season in the Pro Modified Racing Association in an event held during the 14th Annual IHRA MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals presented by Parts Canada held over the weekend at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
The win was the second in a row at the prestigious IHRA national event for the Team Green 1969 Chevy Camaro Pro Modified driver from Whitby, Ontario.
Latino, who qualified number two with a 6.103-second, 240.08-mph pass, bested three-time PMRA champion Bruce Boland of Stoney Creek, Ontario with his 1953 Corvette Pro Modified in the final round.

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (July 15, 2026) – Rocky Di Lecce continues to dominate the 2013 Pro Modified Racing Association season, winning his fourth consecutive event during the Canadian Nitro Nationals, held over the weekend at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park.
This was the fourth event on the 2013 PMRA tour. And with this fourth win, Di Lecce has established a new PMRA record for consecutive victories.
He will be joined by the rest of the PMRA teams to take part in race five on the schedule during the 14th Annual MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals presented by Parts Canada at the Grand Bend Motorplex July 19-21.
The Mississauga, Ontario driver qualified number one in his 526 Al Billes-engined 1968 Camaro Pro Modified, and marched through the field once again during the Canadian Nitro Nationals at Cayuga.

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (July 14, 2026) – The latest rounds in the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series were held over the weekend as part of the Canadian Nitro Nationals at TMP’s Cayuga Dragway.
Winning his record-setting fourth consecutive PMRA race in a row was Rocky Di Lecce. Melanie Simmons Salemi drove her Top Dragster to victory in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and Ted Glinny picked up his second win of the year in the PBSS.
Driving his 1968 Camaro, Di Lecce, of Mississauga, Ontario, who qualified number one in the PMRA event, once again dominated the race, running through the ladder and taking out number two qualifier Derek Hawker of Corbyville, Ontario in the final round. Di Lecce has been victorious in all PMRA events for 2013.

July 12-14 at TMP’s Cayuga Dragway next stop for popular drag race series
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (July 11, 2026) – The Pro Modified Racing Association returns to the drag strip July 12-14 as part of the Canadian Nitro Nationals, one of Canada’s largest drag racing events.
The race is to be held on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park, and will be the fourth event in the 2013 PMRA tour.
PMRA fans will get a treat at this event, as the final round in the third race of the season, which was postponed from the previous race, will also be held. This final will feature Rocky Di Lecce and Rob Atchison, and if Di Lecce wins this race, he will set a new benchmark in PMRA racing three consecutive race wins.
