Rocky Di Lecce wins 2013 Pro Modified Racing Association Championship
Consistency and a solid team effort pay off for Camaro Pro Modified driver
Grand Bend, Ontario (August 31, 2025) – For Rocky Di Lecce, the 2013 Pro Modified Racing Association season has been a storybook year, with the Mississauga, Ontario Pro Mod driver winning his first PMRA championship.
“I’m certainly happy with my year,” said Di Lecce, who has driven his 1968 Chevy Camaro to five wins in PMRA competition in 2013. “It has definitely been a good year.”
Qualifying number one for several events, and with strong passes dipping into the five-second range at speeds of over 240- mph, Di Lecce displayed a consistency that has kept him at the forefront. Coming into the final points race at Grand Bend, the “Thunder by the Beach Weekend” he has amassed enough points just showing up to win the title.

Annual “Thunder by the Beach” event will decide 2013 series champion
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (August 29, 2025) – The Pro Modified will compete in its seventh of eight races this weekend during the Teamsters Canada Local 879 “Thunder by the Beach” weekend at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
And with five wins so far this season, Rocky Di Lecce pretty well has a lock on of winning his first PMRA championship with a large lead in points going into this final points race for 2013.
The driver of the 1968 Chevy Camaro Pro Modified from Mississauga, Ontario leads the points chase with 1612 markers, followed by PMRA veteran Jack Grainy of Bason, New York, in the Grainy Brothers entry with 1400 points.
Third is former PMRA three-time champion Bruce Boland of Stoney Creek, Ontario who has 1375 points, while Derek Hawker of Corbyville, Ontario is next with 1333 points and PMRA rookie Paolo Giust of Osgoode, Ontario is fifth with 981 points in his 1963 Corvette.

PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS take to the track over the Labor Day weekend for quarter-mile competition
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (August 22, 2026) – The next event for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series will be held at the Grand Bend Motorplex August 30, 31, and September 1 during the track’s Teamsters Canada Local 879 “Thunder by the Beach” weekend.
This will be the seventh of eight races in 2013 for the PMRA, and the sixth and final event for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the PBSS, presented by Wiseco Performance Products.
Presently, with five wins to date this year, Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga, Ontario leads the points in the PMRA, followed by Jack Grainy of Basom, New York, and former champ Bruce Boland of Stoney Creek, Ontario. Derek Hawker of Corbyville, Ontario is fourth, and Paolo Giust from Osgoode, Ontario, is fifth.

GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (August 11, 2026) – The Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series continue to be dominated by multiple-time winners after the running of the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts held over the weekend at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
Rocky Di Lecce won his fifth PMRA race of the 2013 season, while the Top Sportsman team of Wilson and Gray captured the Quick 32 Sportsman Series final, and Dan Cryderman was victorious again in PBSS action.
