PMRA’s Rocky Di Lecce wins big in Maryland, taking International Pro Mod Challenge at Budd’s Creek over the weekend, with Bruce Boland runner-up

BUDDS CREEK, Maryland (September 22, 2025) – Rocky Di Lecce is one happy man. The 2013 Pro Modified Racing Association Champion had a fitting end to his season, winning the first International Pro Mod Challenge held at Maryland International Raceway this weekend.

The weekend race, part of MIR’s 28th Annual Snap-on Tools Superchargers Showdown and featuring the PMRA against the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association, brought some of the best teams in Pro Mod to the Maryland track to do battle in a Canada-versus-USA challenge.

So when the rounds were finished and the dust had settled, Di Lecce, of Mississauga, Ontario, flew the Maple Leaf proudly as the victor of this prestigious event.

And Di Lecce met up with one of his prime PMRA opponents in the final round, three-time champion Bruce Boland of Stoney Creek, Ontario, making the race an all-Canadian final after eliminating a strong US team of Pro Modifieds.

Canadians to do battle against USA counterparts in special Pro Mod invitational

BUDDS CREEK, Maryland (September 21, 2025) – Qualifying is completed and several teams from the Pro Modified Racing Association will be ready for round one at Maryland International Raceway in final round competition for the first annual Pro Mod Challenge at this storied drag strip. This event is part of the track’s 28th Annual Snap-on Tools Superchargers Showdown International Pro Mod Challenge.

This will be the eighth and final event for the 2013 PMRA schedule, now in its ninth year of operation.

Three PMRA champions have qualified for the field in a Canada versus USA event, with the PMRA competing against teams from the Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association.

The PMRA will race against the NEOPMA in theOlympics, a 16-car heads-up field. The quickest PMRA teams will race against the quickest NEOPMA teams.

Paolo Giust wins his first PMRA race at Grand Bend

GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (September 1, 2025) – The Pro Modified Racing Association celebrated its final points race of the season for 2013 with a first-time winner during the “Thunder by the Beach” Weekend event at the Grand Bend Motorplex.

Winning his first PMRA race was second-year driver Paolo Giust, who drove solidly and consistently to win his first Pro Modified event.

“We’re certainly happy with the win,” Giust said after the race. “We struggled a bit at the start of the season but we have it figured out now.”

Qualifying the Paolo & Shannon Giust Racing 1963 Corvette powered by a BAE supercharged hemi engine, Giust, of Osgoode, Ontario, qualified third in the field with a 6.369-second, 229.06-mph pass behind Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga, Ontario and Jeff Roth of New Hamburg, Ontario.

GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (September 1, 2025) – Race winners and 2013 season champions were declared during the Thunder by the Beach Weekend at the Grand Bend Motorplex for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series.

This event was the final for all three drag race series, and along with new event winners, the championship in each series was announced.

After a stellar year with five victories in the PMRA, Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga, Ontario has been named champion, his first in the Pro Modified series. The Top Sportsman team of Rob Gray and Bill Wilson of Ingersoll, Ontario won their first Quick 32 Sportsman Series title, and Pro Bike rider Dan Cryderman of Thamesville, Ontario won his first championship in PBSS racing.
