Eric Latino returns to winning ways in PMRA Pro Modified drag racing
Team Green Camaro back in contention for 2012 season
WHITBY, ONTARIO (July 26, 2026) – After several attempts this season, Eric Latino and Team Green are back in winning form, capturing the Pro Modified Racing Association event during the IHRA MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
“We’re pretty happy about the win,” said Latino, who drives the 1969 Chevy Camaro. “We figured out our set-up, and we’re back on track.”
Now in his fourth year of PMRA competition, Latino has four event wins to his credit.
Team Green is owned by Latino and Rob and Ann Sporring, and the Camaro is a G-Force Race Cars unit with a Cynergy Composites Inc. body, powered by a 521-cubic inch BAE Hemi engine.
The Kobelco K-11 14-71 supercharger on the engine has been modified by Al Billes, as has the Leahy Fuel System with a water fuel pump. The power is transmitted through a Lenco CS2 gearbox.
South Coast Community Weekend next event for three drag race series
PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS set for August 3-5 event at TMP’s Cayuga Dragway
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (July 26, 2026) – The next race in the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products will be the half-way mark for the three drag racing series this season.
To be held at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario August 3-5, The South Coast Community Weekend will be the fourth race on the 2012 PMRA schedule, and the third for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the PBSS.
The points race in each series is close as teams get prepared for racing on the Cayuga quarter-mile next weekend.
The PMRA is in its eighth year of racing, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series is in its fourth season, and 2012 is the second year for the PBSS.
Eric Latino wins PMRA race during IHRA Nitro Jam Nationals at the Bend
Bruce Boland retains points lead, but Latino now second, Jeff Roth third
GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (July 22, 2026) – Eric Latino returned to the winner’s circle today, capturing the Pro Modified Racing Association event held as part of the IHRA MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
The race was the fourth of seven on the 2012 PMRA tour. Latino’s win was his fourth in PMRA competition.
Driving his Team Green 1969 Chevy Camaro Pro Modified, Latino, of Whitby, Ontario, bested Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga Ontario in the final round held on the Grand Bend quarter-mile strip.
Latino qualified fourth in the event with a 6.057-second, 238.09-mph posting. Di Lecce qualified his 1968 Camaro third with a 6.005 run, just behind number two qualifier Jeff Roth of New Dundee, Ontario with a 6.004 in his Willys, while number one qualifier was Bruce Boland of Hamilton, Ontario, with a 5.979 posting in his Willys.
Sam Andreacchi returns to PMRA with new car for 2012 season
Team set for action as Pro Modifieds compete during IHRA MOPAR Nitro Jam Nationals at Grand Bend
TORONTO, ONTARIO (July 20, 2026) – After a year out of Pro Modified Racing Association competition, Sam Andreacchi has returned, and this two-time PMRA event winner is ready.
”We’re looking forward to the rest of the year,” said the Toronto, Ontario racer. “So far so good.”
Andreacchi and the Wolf Racing and Andreacchi Motorsports team, headed up by Andreacchi and Domenic Calabria have just tested the waters with their new Modified so far this season, a 1969 Chevy Camaro from the shops of G-Force Race Cars. While this car has replaced the team’s former flat-black Nova-bodied Modified, Andreacchi noted that the Camaro is powered by the Nova engine and drive-train, an Al Billes Racing 526-cubic inch Brad Anderson (BAE) Supercharged Hemi with a Lenco three-speed transmission attached.

Bruce Boland leads Pro Modified series heading into July 20-22 national event
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (July 6, 2026) – With three winners in three events so far this season, the competition is tight as the Pro Modified Racing Association gets ready for its next event as part of the MOPAR IHRA Nitro Jam Nationals.
This annual event is held at the Grand Bend Motorplex, and this year will take place July 20-22 as part of the IHRA’s North American national event tour.
Coming off his recent win at the Cayuga Dragway, three-time series champion Bruce Boland of Hamilton, Ontario has taken the lead in the PMRA Championship Point Award Series presented by Global Emissions Systems Inc. with 838 points.
Jeff Roth of New Dundee, Ontario is second with 798 points, and Jack Grainy of North Tonawanda, New York is third with 797 points.
