Eric Latino wins final 2012 Pro Modified race at Grand Bend and with this win captures 2012 PMRA Championship

First PMRA championship for Team Green and its 1969 Camaro Pro Modified

GRAND BEND, Ontario (September 2, 2025) – It was a perfect weekend of racing for Eric Latino and his Team Green.

The 1969 Camaro team won the final event of the 2012 Pro Modified Racing Association during the “Thunder by the Beach” at the Grand Bend Motorplex, and it also picked up enough points to win the 2012 Pro Modified Racing Association Championship Point Award Series presented by Global Emissions Systems Inc.

The win was Latino’s second for the season. The PMRA championship is his first.

Team Green, owned by Rob and Anne Sporring of Guelph Ontario and Eric Latino from Whitby Ontario, qualified number one with a 6.055, 237.21 posting and the team and car went through the ladder to meet up and defeat Jay Santos in the final.

Eliminations in PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS to take place Sunday

GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (September 1, 2025) – Qualifying rounds were completed today in the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products.

This race, held at the Grand Bend Motorplex during its Labor Day weekend “Thunder by the Beach” event, it is the final event for all three drag race series for 2012.

Eric Latino of Whitby, Ontario qualified number one in the PMRA with a 6.055-second, 237.21-mph posting. Jay Santos of Halton Hills, Ontario is in the number two spot, and Derek Hawker of Corbyville, Ontario qualified third.

Qualifying fourth in the PMRA is Bruce Boland of Hamilton, Ontario, and Sam Andreacchi of Toronto, Ontario rounds out the top five.
