PMRA racer to compete at upcoming Snowbird Outlaw Nationals in Florida

HALTON HILLS, ONTARIO (November 28, 2025) – Jay Santos is heading south for the Snowbird Outlaw Nationals at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida this weekend and will be hoping for continued success.

“We finished on a good note,” said the Pro Modified Racing Association competitor, who placed sixth in the 2012 championship. “We want to keep it going.”

Santos, a veteran doorcar racer who entered into the PMRA two seasons ago and now races with a 1969 Chevy Camaro, feels he and his team are comfortable with the car and can run with the best.

“We had some demons earlier in the year but got all that sorted out,” he explained. “We recently ran a 5.94 in Maryland so we know we’re on the right track.”

Countdown to the ChampionshipTop Five for 2012

Eric Latino – First Place

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (November 7, 2025) – Eric Latino had a stellar year in the Pro Modified Racing Association, winning Championship Points Award Series for 2012 presented by Global Emissions Systems, Inc.

The Whitby, Ontario resident and driver of the Team Green Chevy Camaro Pro Modified won two events in the 2012 seven-race series with 1756 points, and the title was not declared until the final race of the season in a closely-contested battle with three-time PMRA champion Bruce Boland, who placed second.

Latino qualified for all PMRA events this year, but was not off to a great start with a first-round loss at the season opener at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park.

His record improved with a final round appearance at the next event, at Martin, Michigan, losing to Jack Grainy of North Tonawanda, New York in the final. He qualified fifth at the Nitro Nationals at Cayuga, but went out in the semi against Boland, of Hamilton, Ontario.

Countdown to the ChampionshipTop Five for 2012

Bruce Boland – Second Place

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (October 30, 2025) – For the second year in a row, Bruce Boland came very close to winning the Pro Modified Racing Association Championship Point Award Series Presented by Global Emissions Systems, Inc.

This year the three-time PMRA champion was just two points behind Eric Latino in winning title. Once again the title was not decided until the last race, and this year Boland, of Hamilton, Ontario, placed second. In 2012, as well as the majority of the 2011 season Boland led the points race for most of the year but did not take the title, finishing second both years.

One of the original PMRA racers starting with the Pro Modified series late in 2004, Boland qualified for all 2012 PMRA races with his 1941 Willys, and in several of the races he qualified number one in the field. He also recorded some of his best times of his career, running the Willys under six seconds down the quarter mile on several occasions.
