Paolo Giust to debut 1963 Corvette Pro Modified in rookie year
Former dragster driver to run Pro Modified Racing Association in 2013
OSGOODE, ONTARIO (March 27, 2026) – Paolo Giust said he can’t wait to get behind the wheel of his new race car for the upcoming Pro Modified Racing Association season.
“I’ve always wanted to go Pro Modified racing,” he said. “I love blower cars that offer a lot more power.”
Giust has drag raced for several years, including his Top Dragster in Quick 32 Sportsman Series competition, but has longed to get into a speedy Pro Modified. He will make his debut in the class this year with his 1963 Corvette Pro Modified.
Built on an LJ Chassis, the Corvette features a supercharged Brad Anderson (BAE) 526-cubic inch supercharged Hemi from the shops Ajax Engines with a Bruno’s Automotive Products, Inc. Lenco transmission behind it. A Resolution Racing Services fuel system is also part of the package.
Woodies Custom Kicks & Apparel on board with drag racing series

BURLINGTON, ONTARIO (March 21, 2026) – The Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products, are proud to announce the addition of Woodies Custom Kicks & Apparel to its 2013 sponsorship roster. The new company, based in Burlington, Ontario, is receiving rave reviews for its Custom Kicks, and will present a custom apparel package, including four pairs of those very popular shoes, to one team from each series at the completion of the 2013 campaign.

Drag race officials rely on golf carts for better efficiency on race weekends
FOREST, ONTARIO (March 20, 2026) – “The Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series officials are constantly running around at the track, whether it’s to talk with teams, officials, or get the round results out to the competitors,” said Bruce Mehlenbacher, Director of Operations of the drag race series. “Getting around thanks to O’tools not only helps make our duties easier, it provides a more efficient operation.”

Dragstrip Memories show to present Canada’s drag racing history
Event to be held April 14 at Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum
The second annual Dragstrip Memories will be held once again at the Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum, presenting the largest collection of historic drag racing cars and memorabilia in Canada.
The Warbirds of the museum will be relocated in the large hangar at the Museum to display some of the most memorable cars in this country, including Scott Wilson’s Time Machine, the Ken Achs’ early Top Fuel dragster, and a collection of early Muscle cars. Also on hand will be the Paton Racing Top Fuel dragster, a 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery Wheelstander, and the debut of the Northern Warrior Jet dragster.
There will be several car club displays with a nostalgic theme, a popular scale model display featuring all kinds of classes of drag cars in a miniature setting of the former Dragway Park, and a host of vendors. There will also be movies and videos of drag racing, photos, magazines, and automotive art.
