Ajax Engines returns in 2013 with support for two drag racing series
Noted engine builder supports PMRA and Quick 32 Sportsman Series.
AJAX, ONTARIO (May 29, 2026) – Returning to support the Pro Modified Racing Association and the Quick 32 Sportsman Series for 2013 is noted engine builder Ajax Engines, which offers a wide variety of powerplants for competition use.
Headed by Kirk Silbermann and right hand man Matt Mcgillvray, Ajax has been involved in the sport for several years, building high-performance engines for a variety of drag racing classes, including the popular Pro Modifieds.
Silbermann has built and tuned for several teams in the two series, including Paolo Giust and Ike Maier in the PMRA and Billy White and Scott Wildgust. Wildgust has raced in both the PMRA and presently campaigns a Top Dragster in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series.
Along with racing engines, Ajax provides for all engine-building needs, and specializes in the installation and servicing of both domestic and foreign applications.
Rocky Di Lecce takes a pair of PMRA wins at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park
Pro Modified driver powers his Camaro to victory in Victoria Day Weekend Challenge and wins postponed event as well
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (May 19, 2026) – Pro Modified driver Rocky Di Lecce had a perfect weekend during the Victoria Day Weekend Challenge on the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park, winning not only the scheduled Pro Modified Racing Association race, but capturing a postponed event from a week earlier that was completed at Cayuga.
“The car ran perfect today,” said Di Lecce, of Mississauga, Ontario, after the race.“
Driving the Metro Infrastructure Inc 1968 Camaro, Di Lecce qualified for the Cayuga race number one with a 5.964-second, 242.98 posting, and never looked back, going through the field for the victory.
He took a bye run in the first round, and then eliminated number five qualifier Jay Santos of Halton Hills, Ontario to meet up with Jeff Roth in the final.

CAYUGA, ON – May 19 – Held at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park during its Victoria Day Weekend Challenge, winners were declared in the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products.
Winning the PMRA event was Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga, Ontario. Bill White of Gadshill, Ontario won the Quick 32 Sportsman Series race, and Dan Cryderman of Thamesville, Ontario won the PBSS race.
Di Lecce, driving his 1968 Camaro Pro Mod, owned the Cayuga track over the weekend, qualifying number one with a 5.964-second, 242.98-mph pass and never looking back, defeating number eight qualifier Jeff Roth of New Dundee, Ontario in the final. Di Lecce took a bye run in the first round, and then took out Jay Santos of Halton Hills, Ontario in the semi-round. Jason Kalso of Clarkston, Michigan was the other semi-finalist, losing to Roth.

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (May 18, 2026) – Qualifying sessions for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products were completed today at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park.
And in a PMRA race postponed from a week previous, Rocky Di Lecce was victorious winning his first PMRA event.
Di Lecce, of Mississauga, also paced the PMRA Pro Mods by qualifying number one for the Cayuga race, running a 5.964-second, 242.98-mph pass. Qualifying number two was Sam Andreacchi of Toronto, Ontario Rob Atchison of London, Ontario qualified next, followed by Paolo Giust of Osgoode, Ontario and Jay Santos of Halton Hills, Ontario to round out the top five.
PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS big part of May 17-19 weekend
Drag racing series to take part in Victoria Day Weekend Challenge at TMP’s Cayuga Dragway
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (May 17, 2026) – The 2013 season at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park gets underway this weekend with the traditional annual appearance of the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products.
This year will mark the ninth season for the PMRA Pro Modifieds, the fifth season for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the third season for the PBSS. The event, the second in the three series this year, will be held May 17-19 at the Kohler Road drag strip which has been in continuous operation since 1954.
Round one of qualifying for this weekend is expected to get underway Saturday May 18 at 2:00 pm for all series, with two more sessions later in the day. Round one of eliminations is scheduled to begin Sunday May 19 at 1:00 pm.
